Giwer-Greif wine estate

Its owners have converted farm buildings and barns into a charming refuge for connoisseurs at the heart of the town of Wasserliesch.

When planning their renovations, emphasis was placed on preserving the original atmosphere of the location. They have succeeded magnificently.

The eye falls on an exposed sandstone wall here, a fireplace there. Lovingly selected decorative elements abound.

Even the lushly blossoming garden is gorgeous. The historical property looks like it was drawn straight from a picture book.

As the last full-time winegrowers in their home town, the family takes pride in keeping their profession’s long tradition alive.

Their cellar is a cradle for classic regional wines.

The Elbling and Pinot Gris taste even finer when sampled in their romantic inner courtyard.

Overnight accommodations are offered in the tastefully furnished holiday quarters of the old estate house from the 17th century.

In the morning, guests can luxuriate with a generous breakfast buffet in the traditional winegrowing atmosphere of the cosy vaulted cellar.
