Restaurant & Wine bar "Zum Winzerkeller"

The Art Nouveau building of the restaurant  "Zum Winzerkeller" was built in 1900. Until 2002, it successively housed the wine press of the Fell wine cooperative, then that of Moselland eG. The shale used comes from a local quarry. Harmoniously combined with the half-timbering, it is visible in the masonry of the façade and also covers the roof. This material is part of the history of Fell, which has had more than 100 quarries within its boundaries. The mine is still open to visitors.

The wine theme has never left the site. During its transformation, the vats were skilfully integrated and guests can sit on a gallery. The combination of old and new gives the building a very special character. Numerous documents recalling the history of the premises hang on the walls, offering a glimpse into the past. Guided tours can be arranged on request.

The two vaulted cellars beneath the restaurant are used for events and celebrations of all kinds. Guests can enjoy the restaurant on three levels. In summer, guests can enjoy their meal in the Mediterranean garden, set in the middle of the restaurant's vineyards and shaded by a century-old olive tree.

The Zum Winzerkeller restaurant is at the starting point of the Stein & Wein Panorama-Erlebnisweg hiking trail, which links up with the Moselsteig. It won the WeinGastgeber Mosel 2019 competition and has been awarded the Service Qualität Deutschland label. Its wine list has won the German Wine List Award on several occasions. With over 200 references, it invites you to discover the wines of the Moselle, Saar and Ruwer regions.
